Freeskier Lucas Wachs is a native of Bend, Oregon whose exploits have been well-documented on his YouTube channel—and by sponsors like Dakine, Dragon and 10 Barrel Brewing.
Presented by 10 Barrel Brewing and supported by Dakine, Fairly Mellow follows Wachs, along with fellow freeskier Sam Cohen, on a trip to B.C.‘s Adamant Range, where they charged peaks and moraines out of Fairy Meadow ski hut.
“It was a challenging trip as we didn’t get any new snow prior, and the wind stripped off all the leftover powder,” said Wachs.
Every skier can relate to less-than-ideal conditions; the film is as much about adapting to Mother Nature and finding diamonds in the rough as it is about sick lines.
And judging from the bounteous pillows they find around the 1:15 mark, these shralpinists made out just fine in the sickness department.
