Founded in 2007 in Montreal by ski industry mavens Felix Rioux, Doug Bishop and JF Durocher, the iF3 Festival is “the Cannes of the ski world.”
The festival’s mission is to unite and promote the global freesports community—bringing together skiers, snowboarders, filmmakers and photographers who capture the essence of adventure on snow and beyond. Each year, iF3 honours the athletes pushing the limits of performance, the producers/directors shaping the visual storytelling of the sport and the videographers/photographers whose images define the culture.
Over 18 years, iF3 has evolved into a monumental tour, hosting events in multiple countries and continuously promoting excellence in ski and snowboard cinematography. Through its premieres, awards and industry gatherings, it continues to inspire new generations of creators and athletes alike.
With a live feed, plus Canadian events/screenings in Whistler, BC (October 15-18); Mont Blanc, QC (October 25); and Whitehorse, YK (November 1), this year’s fest is bigger than ever.

Endorphin
After several years competing on the Freeride World Tour, Manon Loschi felt the need to step away from the bibs and express her true self through a personal video project. Endorphin is named after one of the brain’s “pleasure neurotransmitters” — and that’s exactly what Manon set out to capture: the pure joy of skiing, travelling and sharing unforgettable moments.
Cold Calls
From storm cycles in Whistler to deep days in Japan, big terrain in Norway and rare sun in Alaska, Cold Calls is a ski film pieced together from conversations, memories and whatever the season had to offer. Each call brought a different story—some funny, some heavy, most somewhere in between. What came out wasn’t exactly planned, but it felt right.
Subtle
Filmed largely in the North Cascades, Subtle captures the shared experience of Celeste Pomerantz and Delilah Cupp in the backcountry. It offers a raw look at the highs and lows of progression in the mountains, as well as a deeper glimpse into their friendship and how they work as a team.
Between Days
What happens when ten riders from four countries touch down in the Japanese Alps in the midst of a season-defining storm cycle? The universal language of ‘dig yourself out, lap until your legs give out, and do it all again’ removes any barriers that may have existed, and a silent bond is forged through the immersive experience that storm riding brings. Linking up with snowboard legend Tadashi Fuse, follow along as the Arc’teryx team searches high, low and everywhere in between for deep turns and unforgettable times.
Inner Fight
This biographical documentary follows Spanish boarder Núria Castán Barón‘s journey, from first steps in snowboarding to a life-changing event. On April 4th, 2023, Núria barely survived an avalanche. What was once her great passion and source of identity turned into fear and pain. The film portrays her healing process, where she learns to accept her past and regain control of her mind. Through an artistic narrative, Núria shares her internal struggle and inspiring comeback to the freeride competitive world, highlighting resilience, mental health and the transformative power of the mind.
