Salomon ambassador Marcos Ferro is an ultra trail-runner and photographer who took on a major challenge in 2020: to solo-run the Huayhuash trail in the Peruvian Andes, non-stop. On the trail, he discovers there are always illuminating lessons to be learned from his two life passions: running and his family.
Born in Argentina in 1982, Farro grew up in Patagonia and then moved to Mexico in 2004, where he is now based. “Since a kid, I was always close to the adventure world,” Ferro told Redbull, “mountain biking every day to school and later when I discovered rock climbing. At about 15, I began experimenting with a borrowed camera while I got serious with adventure sports. In 1999, aged 19, I participated in my first adventure race and later focused on trail running (and ultra distance races), something that not only became good training but also a good opportunity to take my camera to the most remote places.”
