ILLUMINATE is a short documentary film by Ian Coll and Josh McGarel that came to life through casual conversations early on in their friendship. It documents the pursuit to capture a never before shot image of climbers creating a light trail up the infamous Stawamus Chief at night in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. It dives into the creative process of creating a complex, and potentially impossible, image and showcases the power of overcoming obstacles in the pursuit of a low percentage photograph.
