The new short film Weazy follows freeride skier Craig Murray as he chases powder, evolves his discipline and makes strong connections with the community.
Craig Murray’s skiing doesn’t just hold your attention—it demands it. His seamless lines are a rare blend of fearlessness, creativity and precision, Each flip, jump and spin is a natural extension of the skier’s connection to the landscape.

In Weazy, we dive headlong into an athlete’s progression, in life and sport. Born in New Zealand and given the nickname “Weazy” by his siblings at a young age, Murray grew up relatively free of technological distractions—his parents didn’t own a TV—in a close family of dedicated outdoor adventurers.

“Craig isn’t just a skier. The best way to describe him is just as an athlete. He’s got so much going on in his life behind the scenes that most people don’t see. There’s not just one defining thing that makes him who he is. It’s a combination of his experiences, and the challenges he’s faced to get to this point. The mountains is where he expresses himself the best, and where he probably learns the most about himself and his limitations.” –Weazy
It’s not just Murray’s big air and daring, balletic lines that keep us watching—it’s the honest, questing spirit informing them. Murray moves through the terrain with mindfulness, threading the line between technical mastery and an untamed style that defines freeride.
These days, you’re likely to find him moving gracefully through the mountains, each step, pedal, turn and climb guided by a respect for nature and an unrelenting but balanced drive to push his mental and physical limits. For him, the journey isn’t just about reaching summits or podiums—it’s about evolving with every stride, every breath and every instant spent in nature.
