In 2020, cartoonist Lorne Craig created the original See You in Whistler jigsaw puzzle—which sold out and raised thousands for Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS). Now it’s back and the artist is looking for people and businesses who want to be featured in the vibrant puzzle art.
“Our 2020 success proves that building a 500-piece cartoon puzzle of Whistler is great family fun,” says Craig, “but it’s even more of a rush to look for your cartoon self among the pieces as you go!” Individual backers send in their picture and the artist caricatures them right onto the slopes.
“People can choose to be skiers, boarders, or just drinking a beer in the village,” Craig adds, “and I send them the little original drawing along with two puzzles.”
Local businesses can also purchase a “draw-in” package for their brand to be part of the puzzle scene, with spaces available in the Village, Creekside, Function and points north.

While the draw-in spaces are limited, the puzzle is also available for regular pre-order by backing the project through the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.
The 2024 puzzle project is again working with WCSS as a fundraising partner to help with its outreach programs, mental health services, the local food bank and of course, the valley’s greatest thrift store.
“It was a great project to be part of in 2020 and the funds raised were greatly appreciated,” says Dave Clark, WCSS Director of Fundraising and Community Engagement. “This is a great way for international fans of Whistler to contribute at a
local level.”
