BLUETTI’s foldable solar panel keeps cameras, drones and devices running through five days of island-hopping in Palawan, Philippines.

Compact, dependable and easy to deploy, the BLUETTI 60W quietly powered our remote Bacuit Archipelago adventure. From tropical boat decks to future alpine missions, this foldable solar panel feels built for life far off the grid.

The mission: A four-night, five-day island adventure in the Bacuit Archipelago in the stunning region of El Nido, Palawan. With scenery this beautiful, it would be a shame not to share it with people. So that meant cameras—lots of them. A drone, a handful of phones and, of course, music to keep the vibes high. So how were we going to charge all this stuff? That’s where this little beauty came to play.

A drone, a handful of phones and, of course, music to keep the vibes high. So how were we going to charge all this stuff?

With loads of sunlight on our side, the BLUETTI 60W made quick work of charging all of our goods when we needed them most  We’d set up the panel on the boat deck or hang it off the side while cruising between islands, and it quietly did its thing with no babysitting whatsoever—just steady power coming in while we focused on having a good time. The USB-C port handled phones easily, and paired with a power station, it kept the drone batteries cycling without much downtime.

What stood out right away was how compact and practical the panel is. It folds down small enough to stash without a second thought, then opens up in seconds when you need it. The handle makes it easy to grab and reposition as the sun shifts.

More than anything, it just feels like a product you could take anywhere: Big wall missions on Baffin Island, desert crossings, tropical boat trips like this one, or high alpine camps. I’d feel pretty safe and sound taking it anywhere in the world. Different environments, same outcome: reliable power when you need it. –Todd Lawson
