There’s something about mountains. Something that would drive a mother-daughter team to traverse the entire Coast Range or something that would draw a group of nuns to a mountain retreat. That same force has driven snow artist to work in conditions most choose to avoid their whole lives, and an alpinist to dedicate his life to pushing the limits of climbing, and a couple to live in solitude for nearly 50 years.
What is it? That’s what This Mountain Life aims to discover. Set high in the mountains of British Columbia, the film seeks to answer the questions, and explore the lives of the unique individuals who have made life-altering choices to be connected with the mountains. –ML
