Quebec-based ewool offers a versatile solution to cold hands with its new unisex Heated Glove Liners. You can wear the liners under gloves or mitts you already own, pair them with ewool’s own Flip Mitts, or use them as-is.

You can toggle between three levels of heat: High lasts two hours, Normal lasts four and Low lasts seven. The slim, featherlight 10PD batteries are engineered to perform in subzero conditions and boast 3,000 mAh of energy storage.

ewool’s SnapConnect charging system (see close-up below) is quick and simple, with waterproof magnetic ports on the outsides of the gloves—so you can charge without removing the batteries from their pockets.

Plus: the control button makes for easy temperature adjustments with a haptic feedback feature allowing you to switch between three levels of heat without a glance (you can feel the gentle and distinct vibration in your wrist with each depression of the button).

The thumbs and index fingers are touchscreen compatible, so you can make calls, chat, text or scroll. Plus, the liners offer high dexterity, so you can easily perform any task without having to remove your handwear. The liners are not wool, but a tough polyester/elastane blend.

We recommend trying on the liners before you buy, since you want them to fit snugly to fit under gloves or mitts, as the touchscreen compatible finger ends will not work well if the glove is loose. We found the batteries charge faster and the external charge port means less fuss when charging. Our only problem with the Flip Mitts was the thumb coverings which sometimes did not close properly. Still, the Flip Mitt system that allows you to easily flip back the tops and thumbs when you need more dexterity is tough to beat.
