Maloja is toting their new MeisterwurzM. as “bad weather bike shorts” that will protect you from rain and wind on the trail. Our first reaction was “But…we don’t bike in bad weather if we can help it.” Regardless, if you bike enough, you will be caught in weather, and these shorts are comfortable and extremely functional. They’re lightweight, packable and very breathable—the GORE-TEX INFINIUM material prioritizes moisture transfer outwards while also blocking wind.

You can wear these shorts on hot days and on cool days. And they’re packable enough that you can keep them in a small pack and pull them out if needed, the comfy elastic waistband allowing an easy and quick entry and forgiving, secure fit.
They’re not specifically designed for paddling but we see a lot of potential for the MeisterwurzM. for kayaking/canoeing/SUP since they are resistant to splashback and efficient at transferring moisture away from your skin.
Other rad details include a waterproof zipper pocket on the thigh and an abrasion-resistant GORE-TEX C-Knit insert in the crotch area. And the large reflective Maloja print at the back of the leg provides more safety in the dark.
