Platy’s new QuickDraw Microfilter System comes in two parts: the durable and taste-free 1L QuickDraw “dirty” reservoir and the hollow-fiber filter cartridge that attaches to it with one precise turn. Simply fill the reservoir and squeeze it gently to force water through the filter and into a bottle of your choice, or directly into your thirsty mouth.
Weighing just 3.3 oz (95 g) and filtering up to 3L per minute, the QuickDraw system is the fastest personal filter we’ve ever used. On a recent paddling trip, it was a massive hit. After using the QuickDraw, no one wanted to go back to their now seemingly obsolete filter.
And maintenance is a snap. You can either shake-to-clean the filter or perform a tool-free backflush (see above) to ensure the fast flow rates will stick around for the duration of your trip. With its inside/outside (I/O) dual-thread design, the QuickDraw filter cartridge securely fastens to its reservoir—simply line up the vertical writing on the reservoir with the vertical writing on the filter. (It will also attach to smartwater® bottles, the Platy Hoser™ Reservoir, Platy 2.0L Bottle, Platy SoftBottle™, Platy Water Tank and common 28mm PET soda/water bottles.)
