Located in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, just down the road from the famous Bay of Fundy, home to the world’s largest tides and most impressive whale watching, Martock may not have the tallest vertical drop, but the resort makes up for it in every other category. Family owned and operated, Martock has a 4:6 lift to run ratio, and since hosting the 2011 Canada Winter Games, the facility has seen a major facelift. With its friendly locals, vineyards, apple orchards and countless outdoor activities, you’ll be happy visiting the area any time of year.
Martock is a hotspot for events throughout the winter, from weekly races and competitions, to the famous annual Slush Cup, where you’ll see kids and adults alike dress up and attempt the pond skim to cash in for street cred. If that’s not your vibe, explore the vast cross-country skiing and snowshoeing terrain. With a brand new Head rental equipment fleet, a Burton state of the art Riglet Park, two terrain parks and Atlantic Canada’s only halfpipe, Martock’s got all the goods for beginners, experts and everyone in between.
In the summer, Ontree Fun and Adventure Park offers 13 unique courses including high ropes, zip lines up to 350 feet long, Tarzan ropes, and even a 50 foot base jump. Every summer, Martock hosts Mud Hero, Atlantic Canada’s biggest muddiest obstacle course. Not crazy about summer? Go work your quads on the skier/boarder cross dry slope course and your legs will be winter-ready in no time.
