About Columbia’s Winter Technologies
Columbia Sportswear has unveiled its Winter 2024 product lineup, available online now. Columbia’s winter technologies include Omni-Heat™ Infinity insulation that reflects body heat and the introduction of a totally new insulation platform called Omni-Heat™ Arctic.
Omni-Heat™ Arctic: Columbia’s Omni-Heat Arctic insulation is a biomimetic fabric system inspired by polar bears’ translucent fur and pigmented skin. It replicates the natural ways that Arctic wildlife thrive in frigid temperatures. Available in fleece, puffer and vest-style jackets including the Arctic Crest™ Sherpa Full Zip Fleece Jacket and the Arctic Crest™ Down Hooded Jacket. Tested extensively in laboratories and extreme outdoor environments, Columbia’s research teams determined that the new tech performs exceptionally well, even compared to standard black jackets in the sun.
