A Patagonia-centric Gear Shed for life in the cold.
Patagonia Pluma PRO Jacket
The Pluma PRO Jacket (available for women and men) sits at the top of Patagonia’s alpine shell lineup, designed for sustained movement in severe mountain conditions where protection and durability are crucial. At its core is a three-layer GORE-TEX ePE Pro shell, made from 100% recycled materials. The fabric is waterproof, windproof and highly breathable, offering dependable storm protection without the stiffness often associated with traditional hardshells. The ePE membrane is made without PFAS, reflecting Patagonia’s ongoing push to reduce the environmental impact of its most technical materials.

The jacket’s design is clearly driven by real alpine use. A helmet-compatible hood adjusts at two points for a secure fit in high winds, while a Storm Seal gasket helps trap warmth and block drafts. The two-way, waterproof front zipper allows belay access and is backed by an internal storm flap, with a soft zipper garage at the chin for next-to-skin comfort. Venting comes via watertight two-way pit zips, and gusseted underarm panels ensure you can reach overhead without the jacket riding up. Yup: They’ve thought of everything.

Storage is harness- and pack-friendly, with waterproof chest and handwarmer pockets positioned high on the body, plus interior pockets for essentials and valuables. Low-profile cuffs are designed to lock in over gloves or bare wrists when swinging tools, and a drop-tail hem provides extra coverage under a harness, adjusted easily with an embedded cord-lock system. Like many of Patagonia’s technical pieces, the Pluma PRO is made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory, so the workers who made it earned a fair wage for their labour.
Patagonia Steel Forge Vest
The Steel Forge Vest (for men or women) is built for hard use, whether that’s on the jobsite or around the shop. Its ripstop shell is made from a durable blend of recycled nylon and recycled polyester, engineered to block wind and shed light moisture with a DWR finish that’s again, made without PFAS. The fabric has a reassuring toughness to it, designed to handle abrasion and repeated wear without feeling overly rigid.
Insulation is 150 grams of Thermogreen, Patagonia’s recycled polyester insulation, which delivers reliable core warmth without unnecessary bulk. The vest’s horizontal baffle construction helps distribute that warmth evenly, while a smooth recycled polyester lining makes it easy to pull on over flannels or hoodies. A high collar lined with soft brushed tricot adds comfort and extra protection when the temperature drops.
Functionality is front and centre, with a full-length zipper backed by a snap-closure wind flap, and a generous pocket layout that includes handwarmers, chest pockets with tool-friendly details and an interior zip pocket for valuables. The fit is roomy to accommodate layers and allow free movement, while a drop-tail hem adds coverage when bending or lifting.
Patagonia Nano-Air Ultralight Freeride Jacket
Designed for high-output days in the backcountry, the Nano-Air Ultralight Freeride Jacket (available for men or women) balances warmth, breathability and weather resistance in a way that’s well-suited to changing conditions. The shell and lining are made from 100% recycled ripstop fabrics that stretch easily, breathe exceptionally well and resist abrasion, with added weather protection strategically placed at the shoulders and hood where exposure is greatest.

Light insulation is provided by 20 grams of FullRange synthetic insulation through the body and arms, offering just enough warmth while allowing excess heat to escape during climbs or fast transitions. Under the arms, more breathable panels further reduce bulk and help regulate temperature. The result is a jacket that feels barely there, yet still takes the edge off cold, windy days.

The Light Touch Expansion Hood is designed to be worn under a helmet and over a beanie, stretching easily and staying out of the way when fully zipped. Articulated patterning and a slightly longer, snow-specific fit allow unrestricted movement whether skinning up, riding down or wearing the jacket under a pack. Low-profile pockets keep essentials secure without adding bulk, and slim cuffs are designed to slide cleanly under gloves. It’s a piece meant to stay on all day, allowing you to adapt as your output and the weather shift.
PowSlayer Backpack
The PowSlayer 38L is built as a backcountry workhorse, designed to manage gear efficiently on everything from long hut trips to quick laps. Its lightweight yet abrasion-resistant body fabric is tough enough to handle winter weather and repeated transitions, while breathable shoulder straps and a supportive hip belt keep the load stable on the descent.

The pack layout is clearly snowventure-specific. A large, tool-dedicated compartment keeps avy gear separated and easy to access, with individual sleeves for shovels, probes and other essentials. An oversized top pocket provides space for goggles/sunnies, radios or extra layers, keeping frequently used items within reach. The main compartment is accessed through a back panel, allowing you to get to your gear without dumping snow into the pack when it’s sitting on the ground. Smart!
Carry options are streamlined and practical, with exterior straps that accommodate skis or a snowboard and tuck away neatly when not in use. A deployable helmet carry system secures a helmet on the front or top of the pack and stows cleanly when you don’t need it. The PowSlayer 38L is optimized for riders who value efficient access, balanced loads and a pack that moves naturally with the body in technical terrain.
