The helmet incorporates RHEON impact technology that responds dynamically to both linear and rotational forces. Unlike traditional foams that react the same way to every hit, RHEON’s reactive polymer structure stiffens on impact to absorb and disperse energy more effectively, significantly reducing the risk of serious head and brain injuries across a wider range of crash scenarios. The RG2 also brings intelligence into the safety equation with twICEme technology built directly into the helmet. This evolving medical ID system allows riders to store critical personal and medical information that can be accessed instantly by first responders via a smartphone. In an emergency, twICEme removes guesswork when seconds matter, while its integrated rescue alert functionality adds another layer of reassurance for riders who spend time in remote or high-consequence terrain.

And when you need comms, the helmet is compatible with the RG2 Cardo Shockwave system (sold separately). The system is purpose-built for action sports, ensuring audio clarity even at speed and in challenging weather conditions, plus IP7 weatherproofing. And with JBL sound and auto-adaptive volume that tunes out wind noise, you can also use it simply to rock out to your playlists when the mission allows.
Comfort and fit are equally considered throughout the design. A 360-degree adjustable fit system accommodates a wide range of head shapes, while the moisture-wicking liner helps regulate temperature and manage sweat, keeping your head (including your face) warm and dry. Airflow is managed through RUROC’s patented RAID ventilation system, which increases circulation through the helmet while also improving goggle performance by reducing fog. Note: Not once during our test sessions did we experience a fogged lens. It was also a treat to have a warm face without the excess moisture that a neck/face gaiter can produce. But during spring skiing, we will probably leave the face mask off—and it’s handy to have this option.
The newly redesigned 3D goggles deliver nearly 30 per cent more field of view, enhancing peripheral vision without distortion. The blackout lens is standard but you will probably want to invest in a night lens and a cloudy/variable lens.
Certified to EN1077 Class A, EN1078, and ASTM F2040 safety standards (read: the highest possible), the RG2 balances compliance with innovation. Plus, little details like the FIDLOCK magnetic chin strap add everyday usability, allowing secure fastening even with gloves on.
