PEARL iZUMi’s All-Season Bike Pants
The Summit AmFIB Lite mountain bike pants (for men or women) feel comfy like your favourite everyday pants but boast the features you need to keep you cranking through cooler weather in fall, winter and spring. They utilize a tough, lightweight 3L softshell fabric for wind and water protection with a soft brushed backing for the ideal balance of warmth and breathability.
Note: If you’re rocking a fat bike on a frigid Canadian winter day, you’ll need an additional insulation/shell layer. The Summit AmFIB Lite pants will serve for milder winter days over liner shorts, and over a baselayer if you ride cold (or over cycling tights).
PR Dry Tech + Bike-Dialled Design
PEARL iZUMi’s PFAS-free PI Dry technology adds water-shedding performance so you’ll stay drier when charging through cold puddles or kicking up snow and slush. The Trail Access pockets (one of our favourite PEARL iZUMi designs) are positioned to store your phone or energy bars behind your legs for pedaling comfort.
Cross-Training, Durability + Fit
We tried out the Summit AmFIB Lite Pants while XC skiing in March and they performed like they were made for this sport—delivering freedom of movement, consistent breathability and just the right amount of warmth for milder winter temps.
The weave is durable and resists shredding from branches, rocks or anything else you might encounter on the trail while biking (or skiing). We also like the velcro-tabbed waistband that allows you to micro-adjust the fit. (The women’s version is a little different, with an alloy G-hook waist adjustment.) The stretchy, zippered cuffs are also ideally designed to fit snugly with any footwear.
Recycled Material + Reflective Elements
The main body fabric is 100% recycled polyester and the pocket bag is 95% recycled polyester. The pants also include BioViz reflective elements for low-light visibility.
All things considered, the Summit AmFIB Lite Pants deliver comfort and performance for three seasons and will be especially prized by riders who never want inclement weather to dampen the stoke.
Hannah Otto Joins PEARL iZUMi Athlete Roster
PEARL iZUMi just welcomed cyclist Hannah Otto to its elite athlete roster.
More than a podium contender, the Coloradoan is a driving force in the sport—an athlete who blends speed, innovation and community impact. Otto will play a key role in product development, testing prototype gear and offering feedback to fine-tune fit, function and performance, helping ensure PEARL iZUMi apparel meets the demands of elite racers and everyday riders alike.
“I’m so grateful to be able to work with the incredible designers at PEARL iZUMi,” said Otto. “It’s amazing to see how people with those skills can take my abstract ideas and bring them to life. We started with some small vision boards and before I knew it, I was looking at a kit that felt like a visual representation of myself.”
Otto made her PEARL iZUMi debut last month at the Mediterranean Epic, securing a fourth place overall in her first race wearing the brand’s apparel. She relied on PEARL iZUMi’s PRO Short Sleeve Jersey and PRO Bib, while also testing exclusive made-to-order athlete gear—a sneak peek of what’s to come. Later this year, riders everywhere will have the chance to wear Otto’s custom-designed kit, set for public release.
