If you needed one more reason to say goodbye to plastic bottles forever, here it is. Klean Kanteen insulated stainless-steel bottles are tough as nails and will keep your bevvies cold or hot for days at a time. If that’s not enough, the company is now offering a significant number of its products in 90% post-consumer recycled stainless steel.

Using recycled steel reduces the company’s greenhouse gas emissions from steel by about 50%. By 2023, 95% of their products will be made from recycled steel. On a planet bursting at the seams with throwaway consumer goods, Klean Kanteen is clearly showing the way forward.

We recently tried out a few Klean Kanteen items:

Insulated TKWide 32 oz with Twist Cap

The largest TKWide was created with versatility and portability, to create the best wide-mouth water bottle for sports, hydration and the outdoors. This TKWide features the TK Closure internal thread design with rounded lip for comfortable drinking and easy cleaning. Climate Lock design keeps contents iced up to 75 hours! It’s made from certified 90% post-consumer recycled 18/8 stainless steel and comes complete with leakproof Twist Cap with built-in reusable steel straw. NOTE: Twist Cap is not suitable for liquids above room temperature. Not intended for hot or carbonated beverages because of steel straw.

Conceived by superhuman snowboarder @travisrice, the @naturalselection Tour highlights earth’s premier riders, from big-mountain mavens to Olympians, all competing on the most stoketastic—and unpredictable—terrain known to humankind.
