Nordica has entered the touring sphere in a big way this season with the Enforcer and Santa Ana Unlimited Collection.

While the skis (Enforcer for men, Santa Ana for women) feature the same shape and rocker as the regular Enforcer/Santa Ana, they’re significantly lighter.

That’s because the Unlimited collection foregoes the usual metal layers (apart from the binding plate), instead opting for a carbon/fiberglass laminate and a poplar/beech macro block core. The skis also boast a thinner top sheet material and thinner edges, for a whopping 43% reduction in weight (compared to the standard Enforcer/Santa Ana).

LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE WITH UPHILL ADVANTAGES

Think of the Unlimiteds as both touring and all-mountain skis, designed to be especially easy to maneuver. While they’re destined to be a favourite among active skiers who earn their turns, they’re also perfect for those looking for a lighter version of the Enforcer. Whether you’re making turns before work, lapping the lift with friends, or venturing to trackless peaks, the Unlimited tames it all with confidence.

“Resort and backcountry skiing has morphed the last few years, especially since the life-changing pandemic,” said Nordica North America’s Director of Marketing Sam Beck. “Active skiers are skinning up with friends in the backcountry and in resorts, looking for downhill performance with uphill capabilities. The new Enforcer and Santa Ana Unlimited AllMountain Touring skis were designed for those skiers that want it all in one ski without compromise.”

Let’s have a look at all the new Unlimited models, starting with the Enforcer.

Enforcer Unlimited: The Collection

With three models in the collection, the 104’s rocker profile provides a plush and playful ride, with a surfy feel that’s easy to smear and steer, and the 94 and 88 camber and rocker profiles make them at home on any terrain whether laying down turns in untracked powder, blasting through crud, or making effortless turns on groomers.

Nordica Enforcer Unlimited 104

Nordica took the legendary downhill performance of its Enforcer 104 Free and crafted the Enforcer Unlimited 104, an all-mountain touring ski with uphill advantages for skiers looking to earn their turns both in and out of the resort. Nordica has refined every aspect of the traditional Enforcer construction, utilizing a new strong Carbon Chassis LT in place of metal, a unique poplar-beech core, a proprietary layer for damping, thinner top sheets, shorter edges, and adding in the company’s existing True Tip Technology, are all combined to maintain the power and stability Enforcers are known for. The lightweight construction creates a playful and stable ride that maximizes efficiency on the way up and the ride down. The Enforcer Unlimited 104’s wide waist provides additional stability and plenty of floatation in deep snow, and its rocker profile provides a plush and playful ride, with a surfy feel that’s easy to smear and steer.

Nordica Enforcer Unlimited 94

Nordica has again refined every aspect of the traditional Enforcer construction, utilizing a new strong Carbon Chassis LT in place of metal, a unique poplar-beech core, a proprietary layer for damping, thinner top sheets, shorter edges, and adding in the company’s existing True Tip Technology, are all combined to maintain the power and stability Enforcers are known for. The Enforcer Unlimited 94’s lightweight construction makes it easy to maneuver and maximizes efficiency while ascending—all without compromising performance while descending. To amplify confidence and control, the ski features an early rise tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot. And thanks to a mid-fat waist, it’s at home both at the resort and far from it.

Nordica Enforcer Unlimited 88

Once again, Nordica has refined every aspect of the traditional Enforcer construction, utilizing a new strong Carbon Chassis LT in place of metal, a unique poplar-beech core, a proprietary layer for damping, thinner top sheets, shorter edges, and adding in the company’s existing True Tip Technology, are all combined to maintain the power and stability Enforcers are known for. Especially easy to turn and maneuver, the Enforcer Unlimited 88 maximizes efficiency on the ascent, and an early rise tip and slight tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot boosts confidence and control on the descent. And as the narrowest and lightest ski in the Enforcer Unlimited collection, it excels on-trail and touring at the resort.

With two models in the collection, the 93 and 88 camber and rocker profiles make them at home on any terrain. Whether skinning before work, lapping the lift with friends, or venturing deep into the backcountry, Nordica’s Santa Ana Unlimiteds are ready to chase down dreams.

Nordica Santa Ana Unlimited 93

The Santa Ana Unlimited 93 comes out of the same mold as its sister but is significantly lighter. To achieve this, Nordica refined every aspect of the traditional Santa Ana construction, utilizing a new Carbon Chassis LT in place of metal, a unique poplar-beech core, a proprietary layer for damping, thinner top sheets, shorter edges, and adding in the company’s existing True Tip Technology, are all combined to maintain the smoothness, power, and stability Santa Ana’s are known for. As the widest ski in the Santa Ana Unlimited collection, the Santa Ana Unlimited 93 excels in mixed conditions and softer snow. The ski’s shorter radius also makes it easy to control turns and navigate challenging terrain. And while it loves to tour, this ski is equally at home lapping the lifts.

Nordica Santa Ana Unlimited 88

Like the 93, the Santa Ana Unlimited 88 comes out of the same mold as its sister but is significantly lighter. As the narrowest and lightest ski in the Santa Ana Unlimited collection, the Santa Ana Unlimited 88 excels on-trail and touring at the resort.

Unlimted Collection: Construction

  • Thinner top sheet (.3mm vs .7mm)
  • Poplar/Beech macro block core
  • Nordica Carbon Chassis LT, proprietary blend of carbon and fiberglass
  • Nordica True Tip Technology, less ABS plastic in the tip reduces swing weight.
