This German brand, based in Cologne, has started a mini-revolution in the world of adventure bikes in Quebec. Bombtrack’s bikes are unlike anything else out there. They’re made of high-quality steel, titanium and other materials and are specifically designed for long-distance trips over challenging terrain. Bombtrack has sparked a flame within the bicycle touring, bikepacking and gravel communities.

After 15 years of designing and building BMX bikes, the Bombtrack founders set their sights on bigger and better things by combining their undeniable expertise with their unwavering passion for high-quality materials. Their very first model hit the European market in 2013 and was a roaring success. Since then, their bike collection has grown to an impressive catalogue of over 30 models.

Even before the words “bikepacking” and “gravel biking” were coined, Bombtrack designers were already working on their Arise and Hook models. They’re as stunning as they are versatile and feature sturdy frames and forks, disc brakes, pannier attachments, mudguards, lights and so much more. This is what sets Bombtrack apart from its competitors: a knack for sensing a cyclist’s wants and desires before they do. They expertly combine their pioneering spirit with their traditional know-how of a good bike brand (balanced geometry and top-quality materials, among other things).

All you have to do is watch this captivating series of videos entitled House Blend to understand why it’s so important for prestigious bike stores around the world (Citybiker in Vienna, PaloAlto Bikes in Rivignano, Woods Cyclery in Lyndhurst and Loose Cycles in Ljubljana) to carry the latest models by this unique brand.

In Quebec, Bombtrack bikes are already sold in about fifteen of the province’s most famous bike shops, including Vélo Cartel and Quilicot. These shops are passionate about beautiful, aesthetically pleasing bikes that provide unmatched performance.

It’s only a matter of time before Bombtrack’s contagious passion for adventure biking will spread like wildfire across all the dirt and gravel trails.

Using a Columbus steel frame, dedicated carbon fork, and lively 27.5-inch wheels, Bombtrack’s Hook EXT gravel/allroad bike can batter through territory out-of-bounds to other drop-handlebar bikes. Backed by Sram’s 1 x 11 Rival groupset, this provides both the gearing range and braking power needed for extreme riding.

Note: The German brand also offers a wide range of road, mountain and city bikes.

The Southern Interior region of BC holds an ecological cross-section of the province with alpine meadows, arid Douglas fir grasslands, damp cedar and hemlock forests of the Columbia Mountains and the warm expanse of Shuswap Lake.
