To be a professional athlete at the age of 36 in the action sports realm, you need to be much more than a daredevil. With 20 years under his belt as a pro rider, Thomas Vanderham certainly ticks off more boxes than just his ability to huck himself. He does it with the style, precision, and laid-back attitude that keeps him surprisingly upright in most situations.
While he made a name for himself on the North Shore, Vanderham started riding in Edmonton, practicing the finer points of riding a bike. When he moved to the shore, it was game on. —ML
