Dakine Shuttle 6L 16s Hydration Pack

With prime mountain biking season upon us, it makes sense to explore the many options for hydration packs. We decided to try out the ultra lightweight, minimal frills Dakine Shuttle 6L.

While there may be better options for multi-day treks, the Dakine Shuttle the ideal day pack, holding two litres of water, your phone or sunglasses in a fleece-lined pocket, and air pump, sandwich and multi-tool. The mesh straps breath nicely, and the hose with Phazer bite valve clips into the strap securely.

The pack feels very balanced. It is narrow enough to sit between the shoulder blades and doesn’t inhibit motion, or sway while ripping through the berms, even when the Hydrapak is full.

So if you’re looking for a compact, ergonomic, bare-necessities day trail pack. The Dakine Shuttle is worth checking out. It even comes in a women’s specific model.
