The first big storm on the South Coast of B.C. has come and gone, leaving a beautiful new snow line and 35 cm of fresh snow on Blackcomb Mountain. Yesterday, November 3, Whistler Blackcomb sent the helicopter out with Mike Douglas and Robin Van Gyn to lay down the first tracks of the season.
Opening Day is officially scheduled for November 26 but if this weather keeps it up, maybe the lifts will be running even sooner. Our fingers are crossed.
