From December 3rd to 7th, ‘Whistler’s Best Arts & Cultural Event of 2013’ will celebrate its 14th edition as one of Canada’s leading film fests.
The Whistler Film Festival is renowned by filmmakers and film lovers alike, and is a place where artists are celebrated, audiences are inspired, and new ideas enter the cultural dialogue.
Featuring innovative films from around the world and opportunities to connect with the people who created them, this year’s five-day Fest will be brimming with premieres, star-studded guests, lively celebrations and industry initiatives.
The Festival opens with The Imitation Game, a Second World War spy thriller considered an Oscar contender. Also notable this year are the 22 world premieres – a serious coup for the Festival.
The closer is a premiere of Snowman, a doc from Whistler’s own Mike Douglas about a near-death avalanche experience.
