Roaming Focus is a Toronto-based studio and travel/adventure video project showcasing the vision of Mike Palmer and shedding new light on familiar spaces including big cities, small towns, wilderness, rock bands, and abandoned buildings. This time the team heads north by canoe on the Wanapetei River in northeastern Ontario, to the sprawling Burwash Correctional Facility, an abandoned prison in the middle of nowhere. Roaming Focus lensman Palmer actually pitches his tent inside the spooky, crumbling building, unused since the mid-1970s, and proceeds to film at night. He offers some valuable shooting tips, though we doubt many would follow him into the bowels of this abandoned beast.
