This kind of heft, texture, and flexible-but-solid comfort could only happen in a handmade slipper. Founded in 1977, North Vancouver–based Padraig Cottage is independently owned and operated and uses a “cottage-industry” model, employing highly skilled local artisans producing in small lots for a unique product every time.
It’s a kind of anti-sweatshop, and the resulting product is worlds apart from a cheap, machine-made synthetic item. This is a slipper for the ages. Full product line here.
