2016 Kootenay Rockies Singletrack 6 Stages Announced

TransRockies Race Series has announced the stages for its 2016 six-day singletrack epic through British Columbia, the Kootenay Rockies Singletrack 6.

This year, the event goes deep into the BC interior and stops at iconic destinations including Fernie, Cranbrook, Kimberley and Golden.

It’s going to be a week of scenic beauty sure to fulfill a rider’s singletrack fix.

“Given that we change the course every year for Singletrack 6, new racers and veterans of the event always have something to look forward to,” says TransRockies Events President Aaron McConnell in a press release. “This event takes part in one of the most desirable mountain bike destinations in the world, and our courses definitely live up to the hype. Big climbs, epic views, epic descents—definitely something for everyone.”

An event with such iconic terrain will attract noteworthy figures from the mountain bike community and around the world. Confirmed entries include for the 2016 event include the 2015 24 Hour World Champion and Trans Andes Winner Sonya Ewonus as well as riders from France, New Zealand, Brazil, Australia, and Slovenia.
